Carmen Elaine Boothe Doles
Funeral services celebrating the life of Mrs. Carmen Elaine Boothe Doles, age
65, of Rosepine, LA. were held at Rosin Creek Pentecostal Church, Harrisonburg,
La., Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. with the Revs. A.J. Kimball
& George A. Boothe officiating. Committal services ollowed at the Ellis Boothe
Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Jonesville, La.
Mrs. Doles entered eternal rest on Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at St. Francis
Cabrini Hospital, Alexandria, La. She was born on June 3, 1944 in Wisner, La.
to the union of Ellis M.
& Doretta C. Boothe. Elaine graduated as co-valedictorian of Harrisonburg High
School in 1962 where she was an All-district and All-state
basketball player. She was also a graduate of Louisiana State University, and
retired as a budget analyst with the Dept. of the Army at Ft. Polk.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ellis M. Boothe, Sr., maternal
grandparents, Henry
& Alpha Cooper, and paternal grandparents, Ellis and Jincy Boothe. She is survived by her adoring husband of thirty-eight years, James Pat Doles, one
daughter, Jincy Elaine Newman and spouse David, one son, James Adrian Doles,
and one precious grandson, Cade Newman, all of Rosepine, La. She is further
survived by three brothers, Leo Boothe and wife Kim of Dunbarton, La.; Shelby
R. Boothe, of King Salmon, Alaska; and Ellis M. Boothe, Jr.
and wife Mary Beth of Jonesville, La. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends mourn her passing.
Serving as pallbearers are nephew Patrick Boothe, Chris Boothe, Joey Boothe,
Barry Boothe, Wiley Boothe, and also Joe Hall
& David Simmons. Honorary pallbearers will be Wyatt Boothe and Cade Newman.

Cecil Richardson
Funeral services for Cecil Richardson, 83, of Sicily Island, were held at 2 p.m.
Saturday, November 21, 2009 at Pine Hill Baptist Church in Sicily Island with
Bro. Kent Nugent and Bro. Bill Cotten officiating. Interment followed at New
Pine Hill Cemetery under the direction of Comer Funeral Home.
Mr. Richardson was born October 9, 1926 in Lincoln County, MS and passed away
November 18, 2009 in Alexandria, LA. He had been a resident of the Leland
Community and was a retired heavy equipment operator with Sicily Island Sand
and Gravel Co. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Annie
Richardson; his brothers, James L. Richardson and Leslie O. Richardson; his
sister, Christine Simoncini; nephews Lyle Richardson and Jimmy Newsom; and
great niece, Angel Vandevelde.
He is survived by his sisters, Pauline Richardson and Shelby Wisenhunt; special
great nieces, Samantha Mays, Shondell Young, and April Young; and grandkids,
Michael Richardson, Devin Mays, Matthew Mays, Victoria Mays, Brooklyn Young,
Ashleigh Young, Shannon Young, and Keira Young.
Pallbearers were Jackie Harper, James Mason, Brandon Mays, Lloyd Young, Ronnie
Eubanks, and Tommy Harper.
Honorary pallbearers were Michael Richardson, Devin Mays, and Matthew Mays.

Mary Money Poole
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Money Poole, 54, of Monterey, LA were held at Eva
Church of God on Friday, November 20, 2009 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Kevin Simms and
Bro. Lloyd Trisler officiating. Interment followed at Lone Pine Cemetery under
the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mary was born June 23, 1955 in Natchez, MS to Virginia and J.D. Money, Sr. and
passed away Wednesday November 18, 2009 in Monterey, LA. She was a resident of
Monterey, and co-owner of Cajun Speciality Meat
& Seafood. Mary was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to
many.
She was preceded in Death by her father, J.D. Money, Sr.; two brothers, George
David Money and Joe Edward Money; and her father-in-law, Brunston Edgar Poole.
She is survived by her husband, Greg Poole of Monterey; two sons, Kevin Poole of
Monterey and Jimmy Poole and his wife Randi of Monterey; grandchildren, Caden,
Anna, Joseph and Nicholas Poole; her mother, Virginia Leavins Money of
Ferriday; her mother-in-law, Melba Anita Poole; and two brothers, Donald Money
of Clayton, La. and Johnny Money, II of Ferriday.
Pallbearers were Patrick Poole, Jared Pugh, Caleb Poole, Ron Poole, Rob Poole,
Jessie Poole and John Money, III.
Honorary pallbearers were Ben Money, Michael Money and Jason Money.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donation be made to St. Jude
Childrens Hospital.

Henry K. “Bobby” Metcalf, Sr.
Funeral services for Mr. Henry K. "Bobby" Metcalf, Sr., 88, of Waterproof, LA
were held at Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday, La. on Friday, November 20, 2009
at 10:00 AM with Bro. Stan Wyant and Bro. Travis Wayne Floyd officiating.
Interment followed at Monclova Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral
Home in Ferriday.
Mr. Metcalf was born July 17, 1921 in Natchez, MS and passed away Wednesday,
November 18, 2009 at Riverland Medical Center Ferriday. He was a resident of
Waterproof and retired from the Louisiana Department of Transportation and
Development.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Marguerite H. Metcalf; his
parents, Henry McNair Metcalf and Georgia B. Metcalf, his daughter, Dolores M.
Mize and three infants; his brother, William Carlton Metcalf; and three
sisters, Annie Hatcher, Hazel Floyd and Mary Lance.
He is survived by five daughters, Bobbie Skipper and husband Luther D. of
Ferriday, Martha M. Sanderson and Billy of Waterproof, Beverly Rushing and
husband Charles of Jonesville, LA, Elaine Sell of Oak Grove, LA, and Pauline
Ross and husband Buddy of Oak Grove; two sons, Henry Metcalf, Jr. and wife Pat
of Monterey, LA and Charles "Chuck" Metcalf and wife Susie of Monterey; a
daughter, Marguerite "Ritsy" and husband Dennis Simpson of Camden, MS; a
sister, Elgie Waller and husband Roger of Natchez, MS; his loyal schnauser
"Shorty;" 17 grandchildren. 26 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great
grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Frankie Dunning, Daniel Dunning, Joey Mize, Henry Metcalf, Jr.,
Reuben Metcalf, Reginald Cason, Adrian Metcalf and John Sanderson.
Honorary pallbearers were his daughters, his son-in-laws, Luther Skipper, Jr.,
Charles Rushing, Billy Sanders, Buddy Ross, Dennis Simpson and Ray Mize, and
his grandson Marcus Hull.

Jerry L. Green
Funeral services for Mr. Jerry L. Green, 70 ,of Ferriday, LA were held at
Young's Funeral Home on Monday, November 23, 2009 at 2:00 PM with Bro. Paul
Cain officiating. Interment followed at Highland Park Cemetery , Sicily Island,
under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mr. Green was born December 22, 1938 in Hayti, MO and passed away Friday
November 20, 2009 at Natchez Community Hospital in Natchez. He was a resident
of Ferriday and Sicily Island, a farmer, and a member of the First Baptist
Church of Sicily Island.
He Served his country in the United States Army National Guard.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Malcolm Fred Green and Mary Elizabeth
Edwards Green; one son, Quintin Lynn Green; two brothers, Malcolm Dunnie Green
and Virgil Eugene Green; two sisters, Opal Doris Brummett and Virginia Ileene
Woods.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Judy Epperson Green of Ferriday; a son,
Warren Keith Green of Ferriday; a daughter, Regina Darlene Green Otto and her
husband Nicholas of Hayes, LA; two sisters, Dorothy Lee Brown of Portageville,
MO and Lavina Rose Clark of Bentonia, MS; a daughter-in-law, Amy Goode Green
Huff and her husband Kirk of Harrisonburg, LA; a grandson, Matthew Quintin
Green-Huff of Harrisonburg; and a granddaughter, Emily Kirsten Huff of
Harrisonburg.
Pallbearers were Ed Stone Jr., Eric Gray, Jimmy Parker, Danny Richardson, Matt
Myers and David Whatley.
Honorary pallbearers were Henry Biedenharn, Hank Biedenharn, Murry Biedenharn
