Madilyn “Madi” Faith Ellis
Funeral services for  Madilyn  "Madi" Faith Ellis, 7 ,of Monterey, LA  will be held at Monterey First Baptist Church on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at 11:00 AM with Bro. Gene Lee officiating.   Interment will follow at Monterey First Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday.
    
 Madilyn  was born June 25, 2002 in Natchez, MS and passed away Saturday October 17, 2009 at the Childrens Hospital in   New Orleans.  She  was a resident of Monterey, attended Monterey High School and was a member of the Monterey First Baptist Church.   As in life, Madi continues to give to others by becoming an organ and tissue donor.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Ella Rose Davis.
Survivors include her parents, Jason Mark and Danielle Davis Ellis of Montery; two sisters, Jordan Renea Ellis and Victoria Elizabeth Ellis of Monterey; a brother, Mitchell Kain Ellis of Monterey; her maternal grandfather, Walter Ernest Davis of Natchez, MS; her paternal grandparents, Steve and Carloyn Ellis of Monterey; and four uncles, Tommy Wayne, Preston Glen, Bryan Timothy Stephens, and Steve Josef Ellis.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Wayne Stephens, Preston Glen Stephens, Bryan Timothy Stephens, and Perry Dale Ellis.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Steve Joseph Ellis, Roy Stanley, and  Brian Ballard.
The family will receive friends at Young's Funeral Home, Ferriday  from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, October 21, 2009. and from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at Monterey First Baptist Church.   Donations to Children Hospital in lieu of flowers.

Gaye Clark
Funeral services for Ms. Gaye Clark, 71, of Vidalia, LA were held at Young's Funeral Home, Vidalia, on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at 10 a.m. with Bro. Dusty Carson officiating. Interment followed at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Young's Funeral Home, Vidalia.
Ms. Clark was born July 29, 1938 in Natchez, MS and passed away Sunday, October 11, 2009 at Crown Health and Rehab in Natchez. She was a graduate of Ferriday High School in 1956 and recieved her Bachelors in Business Education from Northwestern State University in 1960. She worked in serveral capacities in the area most recently with Seventh Judical District Judges Office, as an instructor for the Lousisana Business College, R.A. Campbell Company, C and D Operating Company, and Campbell Engery Corporation, and served as President for two terms as well as secretary and the Board of Directors. She attended First Baptist Church of Vidalia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Willie and Teresa Belle Clark; a sister, Willie Mae Clark; and a brother, Hugh E. Clark.
Survivors include a nephew, Christian Clark of Houston, TX; a niece, Teresa Matherne and husband Brady and their children Caleb and Tyler of Pineville, LA; and a sister-in-law, Lynn Clark of Vidalia.
Pallbearers were Brady Matherne, Mark Crane, Marc Wallace, Ray Routon, Billy Rucker, and Curry Matherne.
Honorary pallbearers were Christian Clark and Art Verdel.
Clyde J. Moreland
Funeral services for Mr. Clyde J. Moreland, 94, of Monterey, LA were held at Monterey Church Of Christ on Monday, October 19, 2009 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Russell Crum and Bro Devon Huss officiating. Interment followed at New Era Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home, Ferriday.
Mr. Moreland was born June 30, 1915 in New Era, LA and passed away Friday October 16, 2009 in Monterey. He was a resident of Monterey, a farmer and carpenter, and a lifetime member of the Monterey Church Of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 74 years, Helen Burley Moreland; his parents, Howard Keller Moreland and Clara Warwick Moreland; two sisters, Cora M. Craig and Donna M. Thompson; and five brothers, Harvey W. , Julius C. , Keller M., Claude H. and Minden Moreland.

Survivors include two sons, Leo and his wife Evalena Moreland of Monterey, and L. Rogers Moreland of Monterey; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Steve Hartmann, Phillip Zuccaro, David Moreland, Kenneth Moreland, Steven Hartmann and Johnathan Moreland.
Memorials may be made to the Monterey Church of Christ.
Elvin Lopez Evans
Funeral services for Elvin Lopez Evans, 79, of Wildsville, LA, will be held Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at Evangeline Baptist Church in Wildsville with Rev. Mack Walker officiating. Interment will follow at Evangeline Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Comer Fun eral Home, Ferriday, LA.
Mr. Evans was born May 27, 1930 in Book, LA to William and Josephine Evans. He passed away Friday, October 16, 2009 in Alexandria, LA.
Mr. Evans has been a resident of Wildsville for the past 23 years. He had previously lived in Baton Rouge where he was a heavy equipment mechanic for Major Industries in St. Francisville, LA. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Korean Conflict. He was also a commercial fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Reba Carlton Evans.
Survivors include three sons, William and his wife, Kathy, of Baton Rouge, Stewart of Zachary, and Elvin Evans, Jr. of Reno, NV; step children, Juan Lebrija, Jr., Dorothy Corrine Lebrija, and Michael Lebrija; three brothers, Jesse and Carlton Evans, both of Wildsville, and C.W. Evans of Franklin Parisj, LA; a sister, Magdalene Evans of Ferriday, LA; seven grandchildren, Stacey Langley, Christie Evans, Lacey Evans, Ian Evans, Prentice Evans, Josie Blue Evans, adn Erin McLellan; three great gradchildren, Ashland Langley, Connor Joseph Langley, and Logan Michael Langley; and step grandchildren, Rebekah Smedley, Kayla Smedley, and Caleb Lebrija.

Elbert Charrier
 Funeral services for Mr. Elbert Charrier, 59 ,of Jonesville, LA  will be held at First Pentecostal Church of Jonesville on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at  2 p.m. with Bro. Jack Knapp officiating.  Interment will follow at New Hope Methodist Church Cemeteryt under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mr. Charrier was born December 24, 1949 in Jonesville and passed away Monday, October 19, 2009 at Rapides General Medical Center Alexandria.  He was born and raised in Jonesville and attended church at the Frist Pentecostal Church of Jonesville.  He was a commercial fisherman and car salesman working with Stewart Ford in Ferriday and Stan King Ford in Natchez.  
He was preceded in death by his father, William Clyde Charrier.
Survivors include his wife, Robbie Charrier of Jonesville; his mother, Carrie Charrier of Jonesville; his son, Kenny Charrier of Jonesville; grandchildren, Jessie Watts of Deville and Jacob Charrier of Vidalia; and a sister, Marlene Gaspard and husband David of Jonesville.      
Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Robert Roger “Bob” Reeves, III
Funeral services for Mr. Robert Roger "Bob" Reeves, III, 61, of Ferriday, LA, will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Vidalia, LA on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at 2 p.m. with Father George officiating under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mr. Reeves was born August 31, 1948 in Natchez, MS and passed away Monday, October 19, 2009 at Rapides General Medical Center in Alexandria, LA. He was a resident of Ferriday, a farmer and tree planter, and served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Roger Reeves, Jr. and his nephew, Jack Owens.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria Trisler Reeves of Ferriday; his mother, Dorothy Dale Reeves of Vidalia; two sons, Robert Roger Reeves, IV of Vidalia and Luke Eugene Reeves of Ferriday; a daughter, Lucy Elizabeth and her husband James Keith of Dallas, TX; four granddaughters, Faith Elizabeth Reeves, Sorah Raven Reeves, Scarlett James Keith, and Josephine Pearl Keith; four brothers, John and Debbie Reeves of Jonesville, Michael and Virginia Reeves of Monroe, LA, Joseph and Natache Reeves of Grapevine, TX, and Noah and Jan Reeves of Rayville, LA; and five sisters, Ann and Bruce Faillace of Natchez, MS, Joan and James Lossin of Jonesville, Becky and Johnny Coldiron of Sicily Island, LA, Sarita Holland of Jonesville, and Alma and Donnie Melton of Natchez.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Kidney Foundation or please plant a tree in his memory.
