Kendal Koltyn Scott Stroud
Funeral services for infant Kendal Koltyn Scott Stroud (October 9, 2009 - October 9, 2009) were held Sunday, October 11, 2009 at Sandy Lake Pentecostal Church with Revs. Roy Walton, Joel Ford, David Carlton, Ronnie House, and Mark Johnston officiating. Interment followed at Heard Cemetery.
Baby Kendal was survived by his parents, Victoria Byrnes Stroud of Jonesville and Cory Stroud of Jonesville; a brother, Jayden Stroud; grandparents, Greg and Kim Byrnes of Jonesville, Mike and Ann Stroud of Sicily Island; great-grandparents, Gayle and Odis Byrnes, Sr., Buddy and Shirley Walton, Alvin and Maggie Wollerson, Wayne and Avis Stroud.
He was preceded in death by his great grandmother, Ruby Walton.
Pallbearers were Greg Byrnes and Odis Byrnes, Jr.
Opal Gravelle McGaha
Funeral services for Mrs. Opal Gravelle McGaha, 88, of Ferriday, LA  were held at Young's Funeral Home, Ferriday,  on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 10:00 AM with Bro. Preston Holder officiating.  Interment  followed at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Jena, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mrs. McGaha was born April 20, 1921 in Jena, LA and passed away Thursday October 08, 2009 at Crown Health And Rehab of Natchez.   She  was a resident of Ferriday,  a retired beautician after over 40 years of service,  and a member of the Ridgecrest Baptist Church.
She was preceded in Death by her father, Henry David Poole; her mother, Nola Neal Poole; her husband, Quinton McGaha; two brothers, Henry Alton Poole and Johnny David Poole; a sister, Aldis Smith; a son, Jerry Gravelle; and a grandson, Christopher Shawn Edwards.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Gravelle Edwards of Ferriday and Shirley Cliburn of Ferriday; a brother, Tommy and his wife Doris Poole of Liberty, MS; a sister-in-law, Frances Poole of Ferriday; a sister, Elois Ledingham of Birmingham, AL; two grandsons, Stephen Paul and his wife Michelle Edwards of Ferriday and Collin Avery Edwards of Ferriday; and great grandchildren, Chance Edwards, Jarred Edwards, Tori Edwards, Brye Edwards and Stephen Crain.

The pallbearers were Stephen Paul Edwards,Collin Edwards, Chance Edwards ,Jarred Edwards, Tim Poole, Ronnie and Jeffery Poole.
Michael Wayne Welch
Funeral services for Mr. Michael Wayne Welch, 52 ,of Vidalia, LA were held at Young's Funeral Home, Vidalia on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 10:00 AM with Bro. John Collard officiating. Interment followed at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Vidalia.
Mr. Welch was born May 3, 1957 in Dexter, MO and passed away Sunday, October 4, 2009 in Vidalia. He was a famer and most recently was employed by the Markets in Natchez, Ms.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lynn and Pansy Welch.
He is survived by his son, Derek Welch and wife KC of Vidalia; five brothers, Lynn Welch, Jr. and wife Mary of California, Lonnie Welch and wife Carol of Vidalia, Darrell Welch, of Vidalia, Mearl Welch and wife Patricia of Vidalia, and Danny Welch and wife Edna of Natchez, MS; and one sister, Patsy Garner and husband Ronnie of Cape Gerardeau, MO.
Pallbearers were his nephews Steve Welch, Tim Welch, Dale Welch, Brad Welch, Todd Garner, and Tab Garner.
K.C. Butler
Funeral services for Mr. K.C. Butler, 30 ,of Jonesville, LA  will be held at Good Road Pentecostal Church on Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at  4:00 PM with Bro. Brian Taylor, Sr. officiating.  Interment will follow at Heard Cemetery , Manifest, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Jonesville.    
Mr. Butler was born April 15, 1979 and passed away Saturday September 26, 2009 .
He was preceded in death by his father, Cosey Edward Butler, Sr.; paternal grandparents, Coy and Robbie Butler; maternal grandfather, Versie Jessie Cowart; uncles, Mike Butler and Roy Butler; an aunt, Shirley Earls; and a cousin, Billy Joe Butler.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Butler Book of Jonesville; a daughter, Desaray Destiney Butler of Rhinehart, LA; two brothers, Cliff Butler of Jonesville and Cosey Edward Butler, Jr. and his wife Amanda of Jena, LA; a sister, Charolette Barr and husband Scott of Effie, LA; marital grandparents, Robert and wife Evelyn Mason of Greenville, SC; a marital grandmother, Addie Lee Wiliams of Jena; three aunts,  Donna Wyant of Enterprise, LA, Cathy Goforth of South Carolina and Sarah Weeks of Harrisonburg, LA; an uncle, Curtis Butler, Sr. of Sicily Island, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends.    
The Pallbearers will be Cosey Butler, Jr., George Pritchard, Jr., Curtis Butler, Jr., Mikie Butler, Cliff Butler, Brad Elliott and Ken Creel.        
The Honorary Pallbearers will be Clay Davis, Brad Boothe, Donnie Beard, Eric Butler and Stoney Alexander.
