Elliot D’Evereux Coleman, IV
Funeral services for Elliot D’Evereux Coleman IV, 42, of St. Joseph, LA were held at Sevier Memorial United
Methodist Church in Ferriday, LA on Sunday, October 4, 2009 at 2:00 with the
Rev. Clyde Ray Webber officiating. Interment followed at the Natchez City
Cemetery under the direction of Young
’s Funeral Home.
D’Evereux was born September 19, 1967 in Lake Charles, LA and died Friday, October
2, 2009 in St. Joseph. He was a mechanical engineer for Johnson Controls.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Dr. Louie Pollard and Lola
Kate Coleman, maternal grandparents William Thomas Barham and Mary Brodnax
Barham and his great grandparents Elliot D
’Evereux and Janie Young Coleman.
Survivors include his wife, Belinda Burson Coleman of St. Joseph; father William
Pollard and wife, Gale Coleman of Ferriday; mother, Terrell Barham Moss of
Baton Rouge, LA; stepfather, Benjamin Lawrence Moss, III of Fort Worth, TX;
sister, Millicent and husband, Keith Smith of Natchez, MS; brother, Barham and
wife, Jenifer Moss of Houston, TX; brother, Ben and wife, Stacy Moss of Baton
Rouge,; nieces, Kate Huseman, Amelia Huseman, Olivia Burson and Haleigh Haynes;
nephew, Coleman Moss; father and mother-in-law, John M. and Jane Burson of
Monroe, LA; brother and sister-in-law John H. and Jennifer Burson of Archibald,
LA.
Pallbearers were Coates Head, Walker Head, Darrell Vandeven, Donnie Vandeven,
Chuck Tucker, John Day, Danny Knight, Todd Martin and Joe Cooper Rolfe.

Velma Pruitt Tiffee
Funeral services for Mrs. Velma Pruitt Tiffee, 74, of Acme, LA were held at Acme
Free Methodist Church on Monday, October 5, 2009 at 2:00 PM with Revs. Lloyd
Trisler, Wade and Cindy Robinson, and Nathan Clark officiating. Interment
followed at Acme Free Methodist Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral
Home in Ferriday.
Mrs. Tiffee was born November 26, 1934 in Acme. She passed away Saturday October
3, 2009 at Camelot Lesuire Living in Ferriday. She was a lifelong resident of
Acme, a home maker, and a member of the Acme Free Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Fred and Maggie Pruitt
Survivors include her son, Terry and wife Angie Tiffee of Acme; her daughter,
Kathy Boone and husband Eddie of Acme; a sister, Addie McCall of Alexandria,
LA; grandchildren, Brad Tiffee, Stacey Green and A.G., Jennifer Greene and Jay,
Jeremy Bryan and Leslee, and Phillip Bryan and Monique; great-grandchidren,
Garrett Bryan, Andrew Blount, Laney Greene, McKenna Bryan, Auden Green, and
Braden Green; and a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
The Pallbearers were Tommy Tiffee, Jay Tiffee, Dan Lipsey, Freddy McCall, Tim
Charrier, and Nolan Tiffee.
Honorary Pallbearers were Ricky Bryan, Todd Barrington, Keith Hamilton, and
David Charrier.

Bonnie Sue Mason
Funeral services for Bonnie Sue Mason, 64, of Sicily Island, LA, were held
Monday, September 7, 2009 at Comer Funeral Home in Ferriday, LA with Rev.
Lionel Hatten officiating. Interment followed at the Mason Family Cemetery in
Leland, LA.
Mrs. Mason was born October 10, 1944 in Waterproof, LA to Dave and Christine
Nettles. She was an the activity director at Mary Anna Nursing Home in Wisner,
LA. She was a life-long resident of Sicily Island.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mrs. Mason is survived by her son, James Mason of Sicily Island; her daughter,
Dana Rials of Rayville, LA; a sister, Doris Barnette of Okalhoma City, OK; and
eight grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Clyde Polk, Ronnie Ready, David Ramirez, Kent Price, Johnny
Riley, and Tommy Harper.
Honorary pallbearers were her grandchildren, Dusty Mason, Andy Mason, Sheree
Mason, Ben Mason, Heather Mason, Chelsea Herron, Kelsie Herron, and Sierra
Mason.
