Shirley Hollins Everett
On the afternoon of July 20, 2009, at 2:30 PM, the Angel of Silence came into Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital and sealed the lips of Sister Shirley Hollins Everett, a loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Her soul is now out of pain, sin or sorrow and is now at eternal rest.
Shirley was born May 6, 1957, to the union of the late Robert Hollins, Sr., and Theresa James Hollins. She was baptized at the age of 10 years old by Dr. Dave Mays. She united with the Ackland Creek Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. A. T. White where she served on the usher ministry.
Shirley graduated from Block High School in 1975, and also attended Southern University. In 1982, she received an Associate Degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse from Rod Brady Technical School. She was employed by Riverland Medical Center and Tensas Correctional Center.
Shirley was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Charles Everett in 1985.
She leaves to cherish her memories two precious sons, Chrles Everett, II, and Cameron T. Everett; a loving Mother, Theresa Hollins; two sisters, Jacqueline Woods and Loria Hollins, Jonesville; two brothers, Daniel (Linda) Hollins, Baton Rouge, and Donald Hollins, Alexandria; one special sister-in-law, Linda Parker, Jonesville; seven aunts, Willie Mae Green, Vidalia, Majorie Williams, Ella Reed and Josie Benson, Chicago, IL, Eloise James, Kenner, LA, Vinella Holland, Monroe, and Marjorie Hollins, Laurel, MD; 4 nieces, 4 nephews, a special friend, Billy Williams, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Gary Braxton Myers
Graveside funeral services for infant  Gary Braxton Myers, were held at South Central Cemetery,  Wisner, LA on Saturday, August  1, 2009, at 10 AM with Rev. Gary Howington officiating under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Gary passed from this life Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at Natchez Community Hospital, Natchez.  He was the infant son of Jerry Lee and Tara Howington Myers.
He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandfather, Clarence Eugene Howington; paternal great-grandfather, James Howard Inman, and maternal great- grandparents, Tillman and Loyce Kenney.
Gary is survived by his parents, both of Clayton, his maternal grandparents, Gary and Kathy Howington of Ferriday, his paternal grandparents, Melissa and the late Huey Myers of Ferriday, Uncle Jeremy and his wife Sharlene Howington of Ferriday, Uncle Cory Myers of Ferriday, Uncle David and his wife Sharon Myers of Clayton, Uncle Wade and his wife Nicole Myers of Monterey, Aunt Melody Howington of Ferriday, and Aunt Shelia Myers of Clayton.
He is also survived by his maternal great- grandmother, Betty Howington of Ferriday, and paternal great- grandmother, Maudean Inman of Indiana.

Herman Leon Boothe
Funeral services for Mr. Herman Leon Boothe, age 73, of Harrisonburg,  were held at Harrisonburg United Pentecostal Church on Sunday, August  2, 2009, at 12:00 PM with Rev. Jason Paul and  Rev. David Bailey officiating.  
Interment followed at Heard Cemetery, Manifest,  under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Jonesville.
Mr. Boothe was born February 13, 1936, the son of Truman "Perk"  Boothe and Edna Mitchell Boothe,   and passed from this life  Thursday, July 30, 2009.  
He was a resident of Harrisonburg, a well known barber, retired from the La. Dept of Transportation,  and  was a member of the Harrisonburg United Pentecostal Church.
Mr. Boothe was preceded in death by his father, Truman "Perk" Boothe.
 He is survived by his daughters, Cindy and her husband Joe Bales of Beaumont, Texas, and Gayla Howington and her husband Eddie of Hernando, Miss.
He is also survived by his mother, Edna Mitchell Boothe of Jonesville, his brother, Truman Boothe of Harrisonburg, two  granddaughters, Carly Bales and Haley Howington, and two  grandsons, Cyle Bales and Hayden Howington.
Pallbearers were Brad Boothe, Carl Boothe, Shane Boothe, Quinon Coleman, Jackie Owens and James Sones.
Honorary pallbearers were Billy Floyd, Joel Boothe, DeWayne Boothe and Glen McGlothin.

Betty L. Howington
Funeral services for Mrs. Betty L. Howington, age 88, of Ferriday,  were held at The Pentecostals of the Miss-Lou in Ferriday on Tuesday, August  4, 2009 at 10 AM with Rev. Gary Howington officiating.  
Interment followed at South Central Cemetery, Wisner, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mrs. Howington was born August 17, 1920, in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of Charles Ephraim and Kizzie Ezell, and passed from this life Sunday, August 2, 2009 at Camelot Lesuire Living in Ferriday.  
She  was a resident of Ferriday formerly of Wisner.  Mrs. Howington was a home maker and a member of The Pentecostals of the Miss-Lou.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Eugene Howington, great-grandson, Gary Braxton Myers, and sister Belle Paine.
Mrs. Howington is survived by her sons, Rodney Howington and Charles Howington, both of Wisner, and Gary Howington and his wife Kathy of Ferriday.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Todd, Seth and Dean Howington, Haven Howington Blackmon and her husband Travis, Melody Howington, Jeremy Howington and his  wife Sharlene, and Tara Howington Myers and her husband Jerry; and two great-grandchildren, Leyland Blackmon and Alissa Howington.
Also surviving Mrs. Howington are her three nieces, Jeanette Coburn and her husband Harold of Shreveport, Judy Mock and her husband Charles of Monroe,  and Jan Bass of Wisner.
The Pallbearers were Jerry Myers, Dean Howington, Seth Howington, Jeremy Howington, Randy Lipscomb and Stephen Wells.
The Honorary Pallbearers were Travis Blackmon and Todd Howington.

Dorothy Mae Kelley
Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Mae Kelley, age 85, of Ridgecrest, were held at Young's Funeral Home, Ferriday, on Monday, August 3, 2009, at 11 AM with Rev. Gary Howington officiating.
Interment followed at Highland Park Cemetery in Sicily Island under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mrs. Kelley was born May 16, 1924 in Jonesville, the daughter of Mose Monroe Morace and Leona Mae Morace, and passed from this life Saturday, August 1, 2009, at her residence.
She was a resident of Ridgecrest, a Home Maker, and a member of the Pentecostal Faith.
Mrs. Kelley was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey K. “Shorty” Kelley, son Kenneth R. Kelley, daughter Opal G. Mullins, grandsons Kenneth R. Kelley, Jr. and Joshua Matthew Kelley, four sisters and one brother.
She is survived by her husband, Lonnie Kelley of Ridgecrest, daughter Elizabeth Faye Fletcher of Ridgecrest, three sisters, Louise Smith of Vidalia, Lillian Moore of Aimwell, and Dora Parker of Ball, and one brother, Wallace Morace of Sandy Lake.
Also surviving Mrs. Kelley are her two step-daughters, Julie Herrera and her husband Vicente of California and Beverly Dendary and her husband Paul of Nevada, and her step-son Ronnie Kelley and his wife Debra of California.
She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great- grandchildren and 7 step-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The Pallbearers were Johnnie Donald, Tyler Forman, DeWayne Forman, Robert Evans and Anthony Donahue.
