Chase Skipper
Funeral services for Mr. Chase Skipper, age 16, of Foules, La., were held on Saturday, July 11, 2009, at 11 AM at Sunnyside Church in Foules with Bro.
Jerry Sharp, Jr. officiating.
Interment followed at Highland Park Cemetery in Sicily Island under the
direction of Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Chase was born February 26, 1993 in Ferriday, the son of Kevin and Linda Skipper, and passed from this life Wednesday, July 22, 2009, at Franklin Medical Center in Winnsboro.
He was a member of Sunnyside Church in Foules where he was an active member of
the Youth group,
always ready and eager to help with anything, he worked the audio sound system. Chase worked his summers with Roger Carter’s Ag Management, where he checked cotton.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Louis Smith.
Chase is survived by his parents, Kevin and Linda Skipper of Clayton, his
sisters, Heather and her husband, Ronald Powers of Sicily Island, Corrie B.
Buckles of Ferriday,
and Madison Skipper of Clayton, and his brother, Noah D. Skipper of Clayton.
He is also survived by his grandfather, Raymond Skipper and his wife, Sherry, of
Clayton, his grandmother, June Skipper of Waterproof,
and grandparents, Wayne and Hanna Harvey of Natchez, Miss.
Also surviving are a host of family and friends.
The Pallbearers were Joshua Smith, Cody Allen, Logan Mason, Elijah Harrell,
Jeremy Case, and Jay Seymour.
The Honorary Pallbearers were Lil Jerry Sharp, Barry Sharp, Bill Harrell, Matt
Myers, Russ Mason, Freddie Hill, and Bro. John Martin.

Harvie Bond McClure
Harvie Bond McClure, age 73, of Lucedale, MS died Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at
Providence Hospital in Mobile, AL following a lengthy illness.
He was born October 8, 1935 in Jonesville, to Harvie and Iris Bond McClure who
preceded him in death.
Mr. McClure, a high school choral music instructor, earned bachelor and master
of music degrees from William Carey College, Hattiesburg, MS where he was
awarded the 1976 Bicentennial Award for Outstanding Service to the Alma Mater.
He did doctoral studies in music education at the University of Southern
Mississippi, and advanced studies in church music at Southern Seminary in
Louisville, KY and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
His teaching career in Kentucky, Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi spanned
nearly forty years and included 13 years with the Dothan Alabama City Schools
and 14 years at Pascagoula High School, Pascagoula, MS where he retired in
1995.
Mr. McClure was a member of numerous professional organizations including Phi Mu
Alpha Sinfonia Music Fraternity, and Music Educators National Conference, where
he served on the Southern Region board.
He was one of the earliest members of the American Choral Directors Association,
past President of the Alabama Vocal Association, and founder and chairman of
the National Peanut Festival Choral Competition.
He was associated with Merchants and Marine Bank, Pascagoula, MS for
twenty-three years where he was employed full time following his retirement as
a music educator.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Paula Carole Wall McClure of Lucedale;
son, Kevin Lynn McClure of Farmington, UT; daughter, Lisa Bond McClure Sudeiha
of Mobile, AL; four grandchildren, Garrett Benjamin McClure and Garth Neal
McClure of Lucedale, and
Elizabeth Carole Sudeiha and Victoria Lynn Sudeiha of Mobile; sister, Iris McClure Taunton of Jonesville.

Barbara Jo Lile
Graveside services for Mrs. Barbara Jo Lile, age 67, of Jonesville, will be held
at Heard Cemetery on Thursday, July 30, 2009 at
2 PM with Bro. James Foster officiating under the direction of Young's Funeral
Home in Jonesville.
Mrs. Lile was born April 8, 1942 in Lucy, TN and passed from this life Monday,
July 27, 2009 at The Columns Community Care Center, Jonesville.
She was a resident of Jonesville, a school teacher and retail manager.
Mrs. Lile was preceded in death by her parents, Perry Lile and Mabel Burt Lile.
She is survived by a cousin, Larry Wallace of Jonesville.

Patrick “Mister” Anderson
Funeral services for Patrick “Mister” Anderson, age 17, a student at Sicily Island High School, will be held
Saturday, August 1, 2009, at 11 AM at St. Paul Baptist Church in Sicily Island.
Interment will follow at Pilgrim Baptist Church Cemetery in Sicily Island under
the direction of Richardson-Sims Funeral Home, Winnsboro.
Mister passed from this life Wednesday, July 22, 2009.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, July 31, 2009, from 5
PM to 7 PM at the Chapel of Richardson-Sims Funeral Home, Winnsboro.
