Tommy Dupuis
Funeral services for Mr. Tommy Dupuis, age 50, of Jonesville,  were held at Sandy Lake Pentecostal Church on Saturday, July  4, 2009, at 11 AM with Bro. Joel Ford officiating.  
Interment followed at Pease Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Jonesville.
Tommy was born March 6, 1959, in Opelousas, LA, the son of Ervin and Geraldine Dupuis, and passed from this life Thursday, July 2, 2009, at his residence in Jonesville.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Johnny Dupuis.
Tommy is survived by his wife Jeanell Dupuis of Jonesville; and his children, Tommy Dupuis, Jr., Jason Adams,  Leslie Bass and her husband William, Diana Franklin and her husband Lee, and Amber Dupuis, all of Jonesville.
He is also survived by his brothers, Buddy Dupuis and his wife Geneva of Jena, and Ronnie Dupuis and his wife Linda of Jonesville; and his sisters, Virgie Carter and her husband Dickie of Monterey, Shelia Dupuis of Winnsboro, Georgiana Herron and Buddy Red of Jonesville, and Cathy Pecanty and her husband James of Monterey.
Also surviving Tommy are his 7 grandchildren, Trace McCarthy, Jasmine Bass, Leilah Franklin, Zoey Poole, Andrew Franklin, Jade Bass, and Dylan Poole.
He is also survived by a host of family and friends.
The pallbearers were Bruce Mott, David Lucas, Jimmy  “Popeye"  Maier, Jr., Kenny Cay, Dusty Dupuis and Richie Carter.
The honorary pallbearers were Little James and Beau Dupuis.

Annie Louise Daniel Myers
Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Louise Daniel Myers, age 81, of Sicily Island, were held on Thursday, July 2, 2009, at 10 AM at Sicily Island First Baptist Church with Bro. Ken Hoots and Bro. James Gass officiating.  
Interment followed at Highland Park Cemetery in Sicily Island under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mrs. Annie Louise Daniel Myers was born on January 24, 1928, in Sicily Island, the daughter of Johnnie Biaza and Caly Daniel, Sr., and passed from this life at the Franklin Parish Medical Center, Winnsboro, on June 29, 2009.  
Annie was a graduate of Sicily Island High School and a retired homemaker and babysitter. She was a life-long member of First Baptist Church, Sicily Island.  She loved and helped care for many children in the Sicily Island community.  “Granny,” as she was lovingly called, will be missed by family and a host of friends and loved ones.
She was married to and is preceded in death by her loving husband, Walter Ramsey Myers, Sr.  They were married for 62 years.  She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and wonderful grandmother.
 She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Caly Daniel, Jr., a sister, Erciel Newsom and one son, Danny Myers.
She is survived by one sister-in-law, Ruby Davis of Natchez, MS; one brother-in-law, Willie George Myers and wife Maureen of Grand Rapides, MI; two daughters, Cecilia Hoffman of Ferriday, LA and Johnnye Mae Grubbs and husband Mitchell of West Monroe, LA; one son Walter Myers, Jr. and wife Jackie of Sicily Island; and one daughter-in-law Alberta Myers of Sicily Island.
Granny had seven grandchildren: Tish Budemer of Sicily Island; Standley Myers of Sicily Island; Matthew Myers and wife Leanne of Clayton; Wendy LeRay of Sicily Island; Nancy Bicker and husband Jonathan of San Antonio, TX; Mitch Grubbs and wife Christie of Minden, LA; Chad Grubbs of West Monroe, LA.  
She had six great-grandchildren:  Khai Dang of Walker, LA; Jacob and Anna Myers of Clayton; Breanna and Krystal LeRay of Sicily Island; and Will Budemer of Sicily Island.
Pallbearers were Standley Myers, Matthew Myers, Mitch Grubbs, Chad Grubbs, Jonathan Bicker, and Travis Bowlin.

Colmetta Myers
Funeral services for Mrs. Colmetta F. Myers, age 86, of Vidalia, were held at First Baptist Church Of Vidalia on Monday, July 6, 2009, at 11 AM with Bro. Dan Glen and Dr. Ralph Webber officiating.
Interment followed at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Natchez, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home of Vidalia.
Mrs. Myers was born January 25, 1923, in Bude, Ms., the daughter of Pearl and John E. Foster, and passed from this life Thursday, July 2, 2009, at Natchez Community Hospital Natchez.
She was a resident of Vidalia, a home maker, and a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Vidalia for 56 years.
Mrs. Myers was preceded in death by her son, Tommy Myers and her brother, J. W. Foster.
She is survived by her husband, James W. Myers of Vidalia; and sons, Jimmy Myers and his wife Pat, and Johnny Myers and his wife Susan, all of Ferriday.
Also surviving  Mrs. Myers are her grandsons, Jay Myers and his wife Tracy and children Lyndsey and Lauren, John Erick Myers and his wife Lyndsy and daughter Kinley, and Bo Myers.
She is also survived by her sisters, Ruby Todd, Juanita Barletta, Detress Wilson, Dorothy McFarland and her husband Ralph, Betty Touchstone, Judy Hamilton and her husband Jerry; and her brother James E. Foster and his wife Louise.
She is also survived by host of nieces and nephews.
The Pallbearers were Jay Myers, Bo Myers, and John Erick Myers, Larry Todd, Jack Myers, and David Massey.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
James Alan Boothe
Funeral services for Mr. James Alan Boothe, age 47, of Harrisonburg,  were held at Young's Funeral Home, Jonesville, on Sunday, July  5, 2009, at  9 AM with Bro. Ken Gilmore officiating.  
Interment followed at Old Catahoula Cemetery, Enterprise, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home of Jonesville, LA.
Mr. Boothe was born July 18, 1961, in Monroe, the son of Mildred and J. R. Boothe.  He passed from this life Wednesday, July 1, 2009, in Phoenix, AZ.  He was a resident of Harrisonburg, a truck driver with Hobgood Trucking, and he attended Bellvue Baptist Church in Columbia, LA.
 James was preceded in death by his father, J. R. Boothe.
 He is survived by his daughters, Jessica Boothe of Baton Rouge, and Samantha Boothe of Columbia, La.; his mother, Mildred Boothe of Harrisonburg; his twin sister, Julia Ford and her husband Chuck of Denham Springs; and sisters, Lori Ford and her husband Robert of Sicily Island, and Camille Boothe of Baton Rouge.
The Pallbearers were T.J. Boothe, Daniel Boothe, Daniel Binkley, Austin Ford, Jori Ford, and Joey Ramage.

Sharon Elizabeth Sampite
Sharon Elizabeth Sampite, age 48, of Natchitoches, passed from this life peacefully Saturday, July 4, 2009, at her residence in Natchitoches surrounded by her family and friends.
Funeral services will be announced by Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home at a later time.
Sharon is survived by her daughter, Allison Van Hoof, and her son, John Van Hoof.
She is also survived by her father, Joseph Sampite; two sisters, Michaela Sampite and Sheila Hardin and her husband Alan; and  brother, Christopher Sampite and his wife Daphne.
Memorials may be made to: N.S.U. Alumni Scholarship Fund in Sharon's name.
Steve Boyette
Funeral services for Mr. Steve Boyette, age 54, of Wildsville, will be held at Evangeline Baptist Church on Friday, July 10, 2009, at 2 PM.
Interment will follow at Evangeline Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Jonesville.
Mr. Boyette was born March 24, 1955, in Jonesville, the son of Audrey and Robert Rankin Boyette, and passed from this life Monday, July 06, 2009, at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria.
He was a resident of Wildsville and a member of the Evangeline Baptist Church. He served his country in the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Rankin Boyette.
Mr. Boyette is survived by his mother, Audrey Mize of Vidalia, his sister, Jean Crooks of Berkeley, Calif., brothers, Roger Crooks  and Bobby Boyette, both of Houston; and his girlfriend, Yvonne Betencort and her children of Wildsville.
The family will receive friends at Young's Funeral Home, Jonesville, from 5 PM to 9 PM tomorrow, Thursday, July 9, 2009.
