Pamela Jean Pruitt Allen
A memorial service for Pamela Jean Pruitt Allen of Ozark, MO, was held at the Calvary Pentecostal Church on Friday, May 8, 2009, at 3 PM in Jeanerette, LA.
Reverent Albert L. Lyle of Jeanerette and Pastor Philip North of Zwolle
officiated.
Pamela was born in Detroit, MI, March 9, 1957, and departed from this life to be
with her Lord on May 3, 2009.
She leaves behind a loving, devoted husband, Royce Allen; Reverent James Paul
and Betty Jo Pruitt of Abbeville, LA; her two sons, Jeffery Allen Parker and
his wife Amanda of Jackson, MS, and Trey Allen and his wife Becky of Bossier
City, LA; and her daughter Tara Schildroft and her husband Layne of Springhill,
LA; along with her beloved grandchildren, Caroline Parker, Madison and Zachary
Schildroft, and Shane Allen, whom she dearly enjoyed spending time with and
talking about to anyone who would listen.
Pamela will be sorely missed by her siblings, Reverent James (Tex) Pruitt and
his wife Medina of Bienville, LA; Juanita Lockett and her husband Jerome of
Schereville, IN; and Joetta Austin of Abbeville; and also by a host of nieces
and nephews.
Pamela loved her family and always shared with others their accomplishments and
provided support whenever and however she was able.
Pamela was a registered nurse who touched many lives as she practiced in her
professional capacity. She was very artistic and took great pleasure in
creating beautiful things whether in music or the designing of crafts. She
loved sharing everything that she had with family and friends. She was a
compassionate and caring person and devoted many hours to caring for those in
need. She found many avenues in which she could be helpful and received much
fulfillment in developing friendships with the elderly. Pamela will be missed
by all her family and host of friends.

Opal Virginia Gallup Wiley
Funeral services for Mrs. Opal Virginia Gallup Wiley, age 83, of Monterey, were
held at Monterey First Baptist Church on Thursday, May 14, 2009, at 10 AM with
Bro. Clyde Grammon and Bro. Gene Lee officiating.
Interment followed at Wiley Cemetery, Monterey, under the direction of Young's
Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mrs. Wiley was born February 20, 1926, the daughter of Commodore Dewey Gallup
and Flora Montpelier Galllup, and passed from this life Tuesday, May 12, 2009.
She was a resident of Monterey, a home maker, and a member of the Monterey First
Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Wiley; grandson, Darian Bird;
and brother, Alvin Eugene Gallup.
Mrs. Wiley is survived by her children, Hank Wiley and his wife Norma of
Monterey, Juanita Bird and her husband Girault of Sicily Island, Amy Henslee
and her husband Tom of Monterey, and Nell Blount and her husband Phillip of
Monterey.
Also surviving Mrs. Wiley are her brothers, Jack Gallup of Wisner, and Dewey
Gallup of Haughton, La.; as well as her sisters, Ruth Wilson and Nila Mount,
both of Lismore, La.
She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 1
great-great grandchild.
The Pallbearers were Brent Henslee, John Bird, Vance Cross, Rusty Wiley, Lonnie
Geoghegan and Terry Stephens.
The Honorary Pallbearers were Randy Henslee, Joshua White and Hunter Wiley.

Bryan Cullen Pecanty
Funeral services for Bryan Cullen Pecanty, age 27, of Monterey, were held at
Young's Funeral Home, Ferriday,
on Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at 11 AM with Bro. Kevin Sims and Bro. Lloyd Trisler
officiating.
Interment followed at Morace Family Cemetery under the direction of Young's
Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Bryan was born June 25, 1981, in Natchez, MS, the son of Melissa and Carl Pecanty of Monterey, and passed from this life Saturday, May
16, 2009, at his residence in Monterey.
He was a resident of Monterey, a roughneck for Rowan Drilling and a member of
the Eva Church of God.
Bryan was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Carlton Pecanty and his
maternal grandfather Verlyn Kent Campbell.
Bryan is survived by his wife Becky Pecanty, twin sons, Gavin and Matt Pecanty, his parents, his twin brother, Ryan Carlton
Pecanty,
sister, Jordan Paige Pecanty, paternal grandmother, Verdya Pecanty, maternal grandmother, Marilyn Campbell, and mother- and father-in-law, Susie and Chuck Metcalf, all of Monterey.
Also surviving Bryan are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
The Pallbearers were Neil Bullock, Bryan Bullock, Greg Duncan, Kim Campbell,
Keith Boone, Perry Pecanty, Daniel Perry, and Lee McGuffee.
