Funeral services for Daisy Stutson Cruse, age 87, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Petrus and Rev. Allan Eppinette officiating. A private committal service will be held at Old Catahoula Cemetery in Enterprise, LA.

Mrs. Cruse, a cosmetologist and homemaker, passed away Monday, March 1, 2010. She was a resident of Bastrop and a member of Riverside Baptist Church where she was in the WMU for over 50 years, and was the ultimate "Home" maker for her family. She was a beloved mother and cherished grandmother. Mrs. Cruse was preceded in death by her husband, Felton Cruse.

Mrs. Cruse is survived by two daughters, Iylene Cruse Dew and husband Russell of Hughes Springs, TX and Patty Ann Cruse Culp of Bastrop; one sister, Una S. Paul of Harrisonburg, LA; one brother, Ralph Stutson of Harrisonburg; five grandchildren, Jon R. Dew of Garland, TX, Scott Culp and wife Melissa of Bastrop, Carla Kinnard and husband Brian of Greenville, TX, Kim Mattice and husband Todd of Bastrop, and Paige Moore of Bastrop; eight great grandchildren, Matthew Brian Kinnar, Mason Paul Kinnard, Meredith Nicole Kinnard, Makayla Katelyn Moore, Sara Moore, Kylie Grace Mattice, Michael Allen Mattice, and Lexi Yarbrough Culp.
